Management of Malignant Wounds Module
The Management of Malignant Wounds module has been developed using current evidence including national and international cancer guidelines.
This module explores the assessment and management of malignant wounds including:
- Skin cancer risk factors especially for Basal and Squamous Cell Carcinomas and Melanomas
- Characteristics of premalignant skin changes and pre-cancerous lesions
- Diagnosis and holistic management of the person with a malignant wound.
- Wound management for malignant wounds.
The Management of Malignant Wounds module is suitable for students and practicing health professionals wishing to learn about malignant wound management. It is recommended for those working in domiciliary health services, residential aged care facilities, hospitals, wound or outpatient clinics and community health services. Access to the module is for 12 months and you can jump in and out of the course as often as you want, with each module remembering where you left off.
This module is accredited by the Australian College of Nursing and The Australian College of Midwives for 6 hours of CPD. It is also accredited by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners as a Category 2 QI&CPD activity and by the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine as a PDP activity.
